W artykule przedstawiono zagadnienia z zakresu geoturystyki, ochrony georóżnorodności i zarządzania geoparkami, poruszane na międzynarodowym kursie "Zarządzanie geoparkami i geoturystyka", który odbył się we wrześniu 2007 roku na greckiej wyspie Lesbos. Omówiono również powołanie Europejskiej i Światowej Sieci Geoparków oraz przybliżono zasady waloryzacji i aplikacji nowych obszarów.

The paper presents issues concerning geotourism, protection of geodiversity and geopark management which have been an integral part of an international course "Geopark management and Geotourism" organized on Lesvos island (Greece) in September 2007. The establishment of European and Global Geoparks Network has been also mentioned as well as the rules of new parks applications.
