W pracy przeanalizowano podstawowy przebieg procesu korozji elektrochemicznej dla układu żelazo - woda. Przedstawiono uproszczone krzywe polaryzacji i rodzaje ochrony katodowej gazociągów i innych konstrukcji stalowych posadowionych w wilgotnym gruncie. Omówiono budowę i zasadę działania stacji ochrony katodowej. Przeanalizowano zagadnienia budowy i eksploatacji elektrod anodowych, punktów kontrolno-pomiarowych i elektrod odniesienia.

Here we have analysed the basic course of the process of electrochemical corrosion for the iron-water system. We have shown the simplified curves of polarisation and the different methods of cathode protection of gas piping and other steel constructions placed in damp ground. We have also discussed the construction and the principle of functioning of the cathode protection station. We have also analysed the problem of the structure and exploitation of the anodic electrode, the control and measurement points and also the reference electrode.
