Szczególną uwagę poświęcono filtracji spalin i problemom związanym z użytkowaniem filtrów (DPF - Diesel Particle Filter). Przedstawiono możliwości, szanse i zalety wykorzystania pasywnej regeneracji filtrów cząstek stałych w najbliższej przyszłości.

The paper describes harmful effects of particle matter (PM) emission in exhaust gases from diesel engines, the recent scientific research efforts made in order to reduce this problem, as well as already existing solutions. The special attention is paid to an exhaust gases filtration and to the problem of diesel particle filter usage. The paper presents selected results of test conducted in the Institute of Petroleum Processing on continuous, passive filter regeneration with application of fuel additives. The tests were conducted on engine test stand with polish diesel engine SWT 11/300/1, which is employed among others in city buses. Finally, opportunities and advantages of passive PM filter regeneration in coming future are discussed.
