W artykule zaproponowano wdrożenie procedur benchmarkingowych w kopalniach węgla kamiennego celem poprawy działań tych kopalń zarówno jako całości jak i w poszczególnych procesach. Przedstawiono istotne wskaźniki, które mogą stać się podstawą samooceny i porównań z innymi kopalniami oraz wskazania lidera w branży, przy uwzględnieniu zróżnicowanych warunków funkcjonowania kopalń.

The paper proposes the implementation of benchmarking procedures in hard coal mines to improve the operation of the mines, both as a whole and in their individual processes. Important indicators are presented that can become form the basis for self-assessment and comparison with other mines and to indicate a leader in the industry, taking into account diverse conditions of the mines' operation.
