One of the tasks imposed on the state is the generation of data necessary when completing international agreements concerning environmental protection signed and ratified by Poland. This information is also used when developing Polish negotiating positions concerning the proposals of new EU legislation on environmental protection. Therefore, it can be concluded that the environmental protection subsystem is a source of information about the environment, resulting from the concluded measurements and assessments of its condition, and the analysis of the impact of various factors, including pressures resulting from human activities. The elaboration was developed under the project "The National Security System of the Republic of Poland" supervised by prof. W. Kitler, implemented in the field of state defence and security, funded by the National Centre for Research and Development – contract no DOBR/0076/R/ID1/2012/03 of 18.12.2012, project registration number: O ROB/ 0076/03/001.
