W artykule przedstawiono banknoty, na których uwieczniono wybitnych twórców elektryki, takich jak Alessandro Volta, Guglielmo Marconi, André Ampère, Michaela Faraday, Nikola Tesla oraz ich najsłynniejsze dokonania. Dodatkowo pokazano banknoty różnych krajów prezentujące poziom elektryfikacji krajów je emitujących.

The focus of numismatists are coins, banknotes, medals… Cash signs, which are both banknotes and coins in their layout often commemorate important historical events, elements related to art and culture of the country, cityscapes and buildings, documenting scientific or economic achievements and also present profiles of outstanding characters. The article presents bills, which captured eminent electrical creators such as the inventor of the lightning rod, Benjamin Franklin, the constructor of the electroscope measuring electricity, capacitor or cell named by him – Alessandro Volta, the eminent cocreator of wireless radio transmission, Guglielmo Marconi, the creator of theoretical foundations of electrodynamics André Ampère, the discoverer of the phenomenon of electromagnetic induction Michael Faraday, a brilliant designer Nikola Tesla, his opponent who holds more than 1,000 patents Thomas Edison, an electric motor commutator designer and creator of the telegraph Oetersburg – Tsarskoye Selo line Boris Jacobi and the winner of the Nobel Prize for explaining the photoelectric effect Albert Einstein and their most famous achievements, such as. Voltaic pile, Edison bulb or Faraday disk – the predecessor of the generator. In addition, showing banknotes of different countries, Laos, North Korea, Congo, Vietnam, Republic of South Africa or Poland, presenting the level of electrification in the countries issuing them. The article presents the notes in circulation, as well as withdrawn from circulation or unrealized projects and fancy banknote-like prints.
