EN

The Polish Constitution establishes the possibility of introduction of three kinds of extraordinary states. These are: martial law, state of emergency and state of disaster. The introduction of these states may be connected with the limitation of human rights and in case of martial law it may even lead to suspend some rights. The least strict limitation is provided for the state of disaster. Legal regulations are consistent with international obligations of Poland and are reaching beyond the minimal scope of protection established in international agreements – especially in the scope of settling the material losses resulting from introduced limitations.
