Small and medium-sized enterprises need to constantly seek new solutions in the form of innovation to survive in the market. This also applies to the SMEs' logistics sector where innovations are of a different kind than in the case of industrial enterprises due to the nature of the services provided. The introduction of changes in the form of innovation in these companies can contribute to gaining a sustainable competitive advantage in the market. The aim of the paper is to assess the innovative activity of small and medium-sized companies from the logistics sector and to examine determinants – development barriers and stimulants – of their innovative activity.
