Abstrakty

EN

The impact of blasting operations is accompanied by positive and also negative after-effects. Vibrations, activated by explosion, help to disturb the rocks what represents a positive effect on one hand and endanger surrounding buildings and other properties on the other hand as a negative effect. If the vibrations are large enough, than the ambient objects could be damaged or destroyed. Negative effects depend on their range and strength. Vibration intensity of seismic waves is proportional to weight of the explosive used. Recently, negative effects of the blasting operations and quantification of the seismic safety is highly actual and challenging problem. The article represents results of the blasting operation monitoring in Maglovec quarry.
