W artykule przedstawiono weryfikację hipotezy duże pożary wybuchają w nocy. Wprowadzono własną definicję pożarów dużych i wykonano statystyczną analizę danych. Badania przeprowadzono dla danych z terenu Warszawy pozyskanych z bazy EWID.

This article reviews the hypothesis large fires occur most often at night. A number of distributions is created which are compared against other distributions on a statistical basis. The conclusion is made that there is no strong evidence that would allow for hypothesis approval, based on the data provided. However, relatively high percentage of night fires can develop into large fires. On the other hand a relatively small number of night fires results in just average number of large-night-fires in relation to other periods of the day.
