Groundwater flow and infiltration pollutant modelling in wastes body of the landfill

Abstrakty
The numerical modelling of groundwater flow and pollutant infiltration was analyzed for the old sanitary landfill surrounded by a vertical bentonite barrier. The re-circulation system of leachate applied on the landfill was also analysed in transport modelling. The FEMWATER numerical program was used for the modelling. The aim o f modelling was assessment o f the vertical bentonite barrier influence on shaping of groundwater level in subsoil on surroundings as well as determination of time infiltration of leachate in the waste body during re-circulation. The results of groundwater monitoring were used for verification and tarring of the numerical model.
