The article presents the model for the movement of materials in economy; it discloses situations, in which the wastes are produced. The model shows the possibility to minimalise waste production through implementing the waste-free or low-waste technologies. It also shows the circulation, in which wastes are returned to be used again. This way we are able to avoid its physical liquidation and utilize all the useful components. It is acknowledged that all components of the wastes are valuable, so the attention of the researchers, practitioners and activists should be focused on returning all the materials (meaning - wastes components) - to the material circulation.
