This article aims to analyse the inflow of foreign capital to Poland as a determinant of the textile-clothing industry’s growth in the integration process into the European Union. The author attempts to verify the theoretical aspects of the impact of foreign investment on economic activities in the enterprises acquired. Additionally, factors underlying the decisions to locate foreign direct investments are examined.

Celem prezentowanego artykułu jest analiza napływu bezpośrednich inwestycji zagranicznych do Polski jako czynnika warunkującego rozwój przemysłu tekstylno-odzieżowego w warunkach procesu integracji europejskiej. Autor podejmuje próbę weryfikacji teoretycznych aspektów oddziaływań inwestorów na działalność gospodarczą przejmowanych przedsiębiorstw. Dodatkowo analizie poddane zostały czynniki determinujące decyzje lokalizacyjne kapitału zagranicznego.
