W artykule przedstawiono wyniki badań wpływu aktywności pirackie} na poziom bezpieczeństwa pracy marynarzy. Zidentyfikowano najbardziej zagrożone akweny morskie. Wytypowano przyczyny skuteczności ataków pirackich na tych akwenach. Wykonano analizę konsekwencji ataków piratów na życie i zdrowie członków załóg statków morskich pływających w akwenach wysokiego ryzyka. Pokazano, że praca marynarzy na morzu wymaga dodatkowego zabezpieczenia.

This paper explores risk m International maritime transport. It discusses current trends in unlawful activity in the waters of Southeast Asia, the Caribbean, the Gulf of Guinea and off the Somali toast. The first part of the paper examines why piracy is effective. The second part focuses on the consequences of pirate attacks for the life and Health of seafarers on vessels transiting high-risk areas. Seafarers' work on a ship requires additional safety measures.
