Artykuł przedstawia sytuację prawną, według stanu z początku roku 2013, wag nieautomatycznych podlegających kontroli prawnej na terenie UE w zakresie kompatybilności elektromagnetycznej oraz proces zmian normatywnych podążających za zaleceniami OIML z punktu widzenia producenta. Autor odnosi się do opóźnień w zakresie tworzenia nowej normy produktowej dotyczącej wag nieautomatycznych, przedstawiając kwestie sporne w rekomendacji OIML R76-1 oraz wpływ ewentualnych nowych regulacji na działalność firm produkujących legalizowane wagi nieautomatyczne.

The article presents the legal status of non-automatic weighing instruments, according to the regulations still valid at the beginning of year 2013, that undergo the legal surveillance on the European market relating to electromagnetic compatibility, as well as the announced changes in product standard EN-45501 followed by OIML recommendation R-76-1:2006. The paper refers to the deferment in issuing the new product standard and presents matters of dispute in the above mentioned OIML recommendation. It shows the influence of the new regulations in the field of electromagnetic compatibility on businesses producing non-automatic weighing instruments. It also refers to changes in electromagnetic smog caused by the increasing number of different transmitters, particularly mobile phones. Further one can find a comparison between the still valid product standard EN-45501:1992/AC1993 and OIML recommendation R-76-1:2006 regarding electromagnetic compatibility tests. Then the author shows the sequence of events, in the space of seven years, related to the unsuccessful attempts of introducing the new standard and then, as an employee of a manufacturer of non-automatic weighing instruments, he presents the producers opinion on the ensuing situation. In the conclusion one can find a forecast of an influence of the new law on the market of weighing scales and balances showing disadvantages, but also possible advantages of the new situation.
