The study of model weight heavy alloy (WHA) W-Ni-Co-Fe, with some excess of tungsten with respect to its maximum nickel based solid State solubility are presented. The alloy was melted at the temperature 1570 °C in hydrogen atmosphere. After removing the bottom part of the casting where excess grains of tungsten sediment, the ingot was solution heat treatment for 2h at the temperature 900 °C followed by water quenching. Finally, the specimens were aged at the temperature 250, 300 and 350 °C for time up to 48, 36 and 24 respectively. After heat treatment the specimens were studied using hardness measurements and structure investigations. The last one included X-ray diffractometry (XRD), optical metallography, scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). It was concluded that two phase microstructure was not substantially changed during aging, especially the aging lead not to ultra-fine precipitate formation, which would caused remarkable precipitation strengthening of matrix. The results analysis prompt us to conclude that the main reason of minimal strengthening only was the specific output structure after solution heat treatment, resulted from to low temperature of solution heat treatment.
