Currently, most major oil fields have entered the last stage of production, which leads to a significant reduction in the effectiveness of traditional methods of oil recovery, increasing proportion of hard-to-recover, low efficiency reserves. This led to the emergence of regional production companies, whose production does not exceed 2 million tons of oil per year. The importance of the problem is expressed in: — the determinacy of the economic limitation in exploitation of low production oil region, — selecting an investment strategy aimed at project management for the implementation of technologies associated with the development of hard-to-recover, low efficiency reserves. Due to the fact that Belarus is an old oil producing region, and there are becoming more of such regions in the world. I am going to focus on the project management strategy for the implementation of technologies for the period 2011-2020 in the production division RUE PA Belorusneft in the Republic of Belarus. The report presents the current strategy and its possible change in time.
