W praktyce projektowej sprężone płyty kanałowe (HC) są traktowane jako elementy prętowe. Przyjmuje się, że wytężenie poszczególnych żeber płyt jest jednakowe, a rozkład sił poprzecznych i momentów zginających na szerokości elementu nie wpływa na nośność całego prefabrykatu. Przeanalizowano, czy takie podejście jest zawsze właściwe, oraz wykazano, że nie zawsze płyty HC można traktować jak przekroje jednorodne.

In the design practice, prestressed hollow core plates (HC), are treated as bars elements. It is assumed that the effort of the individual ribs is identical, and the distribution of shear forces and bending moments in the width of the element does not affect the carrying capacity of the entire element. The article examines whether such an approach is appropriate and shows that not always the HC plate can be treated as homogeneous sections.
