W ostatnim czasie nasiliła się dyskusja na temat koncepcji rozwoju odnawialnych źródeł energii w Polsce. Niniejszy artykuł należy traktować jako drobny wkład autora w tę dyskusję. Przedstawiono przykład inicjatywy lokalnej społeczności mającej na celu uniezależnienia się od nośników energii pochodzących ze źródeł zewnętrznych. W artykule opisano wieś bioenergetyczną Effelter (Niemcy), która jest samowystarczalna pod względem produkcji energii elektrycznej i ciepła. Jej system energetyczny składa się z kotłowni na biomasę, biogazowni, sieci ciepłowniczej i paneli fotowoltaicznych. Pokrótce scharakteryzowano główne elementy systemu ogrzewania należącego do spółki, której właścicielami są mieszkańcy wsi. Zaprezentowano poszczególne składniki kosztów budowy centralnego systemu zaopatrzenia w ciepło oraz sposób finansowania inwestycji. W artykule wspomniano również o pewnych aspektach związanych z finansowaniem odnawialnych źródeł energii w Niemczech.

In recent times, there is an intense discussion on the concept of the development of renewable energy sources in Poland. This article should be treated as a small contribution in this discussion. An example of a local community initiative to become independent from energy supply from outside is shown. The article describes the bioenergy village Effelter (Germany), which is self-sufficient in terms of production of electricity and heat. In this case, energy system consists of biogas plant, biomass plant, water district heating system and photovoltaic panels. It is characterized the main elements of the heating system belonging to a company owned by the villagers. Major components of construction and materials costs of the heating system and way of financing of this investment are presented, too. This article also mentions about some aspects related to financing of renewable energy sources in Germany.
