Laboratory testing of CO2/CH4 replacement sorption on a coal briquette

Abstrakty
Przedstawiona została aparatura pomiarowa umożliwiająca prowadzenie badań sorpcji wymiennej CO2/CH4. Przeprowadzono cztery eksperymenty, różniące się pomiędzy sobą ciśnieniem zatłaczania CO2 na czoło brykietu pierwotnie nasyconego CH4. Zaobserwowano wzrost pojemności sorpcyjnej węgla przy nasycaniu CH4 w kolejnych eksperymentach. W zaprezentowanych wynikach zmian ciśnienia porowego w trakcie procesu wymiany sorpcyjnej CO2/CH4, zauważono przemieszczającą się wzdłuż brykietu depresję ciśnienia, która dowodzi istnienia rozgraniczonej strefy wymiany sorpcyjnej.
The apparatus is designed for measurements of CO2/CH4 sorption. Four experiments were performed, differing in the pressure of CO2 injection to the briquette face originally saturated with CH4. It is found out that sorption capacity of coal tends to increase during the CH4 saturation in subsequent experiments. The results of pore pressure measurements during the sorption exchange between CH4 and CO2 reveal a pressure depression shifting along the briquette, evidencing the existence of a divided replacement sorption zone.
