Share of by-products in primary conversion of timber. The most of post-production is generated by sawmill sector. Adequate form of its usage has a significant impact on the financial result of an individual company. The article presents research results timing at determining the volume and the type of by-products generated by sawmills depending on the scale of their operations, technological advancement as well as adopted strategy. The share of identified post-production material Has been determined for four groups of sawmills, categorized according to the annual volume of processed round wood.
