Dzieła prezentujące przemijający styl architektoniczny były często przebudowywane lub wyburzane, by dać miejsce nowym budynkom. Obecnie takie zjawisko spotyka spuściznę architektury modernistycznej. Narażone na niszczące działania są nawet budynki najwybitniejszych twórców. W artykule zaprezentowano różne losy dzieł Paula Rudolpha - od pieczołowitej ochrony Art and Architecture Building w New Haven po unicestwienie Christian Science Student Center w Urbana.

Buildings of passing architectural styles were often rebuilt or demolished in order to give place new buildings. Nowadays such tendency is related to heritage of modernist architecture. Even masterpieces of the most outstanding architects are exposed to destruction. Author of the article presents different lots of buildings designed by Paul Rudolph - from careful preservation of Art and Architecture Building in New Haven to demolition of Christian Science Student Center in Urbana.
