Development and improvement of the theory of parallel mechanisms has recently resulted in its broader application for scientific and research purposes. Within the research carried out at the Faculty of Technical Sciences, aimed at classification of the work areas of parallel-mechanism- based machine tools, the analysis of the three typical types of mechanisms, including tripod, triglide and ortho glide, was conducted.
