EN

Biomass fraction of SRF is significant in several respects in the international protocols relating to the control of greenhouse gases. Biomass is considered to be neutral in terms of carbon dioxide emissions, as released from biomass combustion CO2 is recycled in the process of photosynthesis. Quantitative determination of the biomass fraction of SRF is important economically, especially for the cement and energy industry.
