Metoda polega na pobraniu związku na filtr membranowy, mineralizacji filtra i oznaczaniu potasu zawartego w związku metodą absorpcyjnej spektrometrii atomowej w płomieniu powietrze-acetylen. Oznaczalność metody wynosi 0,04 mg/m3.

This method is based on stopping selected potassium hydroxide on a membrane filter, mineralizing the sample with concentration nitric acid and preparing the solution for analysis in diluted nitric acid and caesium chloride. Potassium hydroxide in the solution is determined as potassium with flame atomic absorption spectrometry. The detection limit of determined potassium hydroxide for this method is 0.04 mg/m3.
