Abstrakty
Adaptogens are plant-based substances that help the body cope with stress. Examples include ginseng and ashwagandha, which regulate cortisol and support mental and physical health. Used since ancient times, they have gained popularity with modern research confirming their effectiveness. They act on the nervous, endocrine and immune systems, accelerating recovery and wound healing. Adaptogens are valued for their natural origins and holistic health support. The overview article provides information on what adaptogens are, their effects and examples of adaptogenic plants such as ginseng and ashwagandha. It also discusses their effects on the body, supporting mental and physical health, and cites contemporary research supporting their effectivenes.
