The purpose of this article is to answer whether the concept of solutions for Smart City is enough to the urban areas to minimize the effect of congestion. The article explained concepts such as intelligent city, congestion and traffic jam. They were also presented intelligent solutions that can successfully reduce congestion in cities. The author presented the situation of Polish towns in the area of Smart.
