The article presents the results of analysis of profitability of technologies using renewable sources of energy based on the example of wind and water power. The evaluation of economic profitability is based on two methods: net present value NPV and internal rate of return IRR. To conduct the abovementioned analysis a cash flow account has been used, including discount accounting principles. Profitability of technologies using renewable sources of energy has been conducted on the example of two objects: wind and water-power station.
