Abstrakty

EN

The paper deals with characteristic of support mechanisms for the promotion renewable energy sources (RES) in European Union. Those mechanisms are methods of creating a protected market, separated from the open electricity market where electricity from renewable energy sources would have difficulties competing with existing, subsidized and already depreciated conventional (fossil-based) power plants. All variant of measures of each system is presented in paper for each European country.
