Abstrakty
The article Changed results of studies conducted among middle management staff of one of the companies in construction and assembly of the knowledge of the methods and tools of project management and project managers competence. Employees who participated in the study, acting as contract manager and the object of their direct involvement investment plans are realized in the form of projects related to industrial insulation, scaffolding and assembly services in many areas of both construction and industrial applications. The choice of this group of respondents was not accidental, since the contract manager most often determine the success project. The study was conducted in one of the companies in Opole province. The study involved 16 respondents from 26 project managers employed by the company. The main objective of the study was to gain knowledge about the competence of project managers (contracts). Conducted for this purpose a survey which was anonymous and contained 29 questions. Questions related to the competence of the project manager. Competencies that have been studied are: technical, social, organizational and managerial. The results of the study were a surprise to both the investigator and the President of the company, because it turned out that the steering contracts employed by the company are not familiar with common methods and tools of project management. The reason for these results is the lack of use of the names of these methods the company. The company carries out its projects based on internal procedures "Service Delivery", which is part of the Quality Management System. The procedure is developed on the basis of the methods of project management. Although the project managers use the methods and techniques of project management, are not using their common names only the term "Service Delivery". Due to this fact cannot determine the technical competence of project managers in this factory.
