Opisano wybrane zagadnienia związane z prowadzeniem ciągłej obserwacji obiektów mostowych. Wskazano na podstawowe przesłanki budowy systemów pomiarowych. Wyróżniono etapy projektowania i wdrażania systemów pomiarowych. Podkreślono wielkość systemu pomiarowego jako jeden z parametrów będący jego cechą charakterystyczną.

Selected problems of monitoring systems for bridges are described. Fundamental reasons for installation of monitoring systems are pointed. Stages of study works for design and entering to practice of monitoring systems are specified. The size of system as one of a specific parameter was underlined.
