This paper presents research results of a partial discharge (PD) analysis using ultra-high frequency method (UHF). Point to point PD model source immersed in insulation oil is selected for simulations. Measurements are proceeded under laboratory conditions. Various voltage levels are applied for research as well as the results discussion and its application for the phenomenon description with a special consideration of its on-site PD diagnostic applications is presented.
