W wyniku realizowanych inwestycji infrastrukturalnych zmniejsza się poziom dystansu w rozwoju infrastruktury transportu w Polsce w porównaniu z krajami UE. Mimo to, w odczuciach przedsiębiorców infrastruktura wciąż stanowi poważne zagrożenie dla efektywnego funkcjonowania łańcuchów logistycznych. Problem ten dotyczy także innych krajów UE charakteryzujących się relatywnie dobrym poziomem rozwoju infrastruktury transportowej. Ciągły wzrost zapotrzebowania na profesjonalną obsługę transportową i logistyczną podmiotów gospodarczych sprawia, że infrastruktura nie zawsze odpowiada oczekiwaniom przedsiębiorców i potrzebom współczesnego rozwoju gospodarczego.

As a result of ongoing infrastructure investments the gap between transport infrastructure development in Poland and EU countries reduces. Despite this, according to the business sector’s opinion, the infrastructure still is a threat to the effective functioning of logistics chains. This problem also applies to other EU countries, with a relatively good level of development of transport infrastructure. The continuous increase in demand for professional transport and logistics operators causes that the infrastructure does not always meet the expectations of entrepreneurs and the needs of modern economic development.
