Abstrakty

EN

The development of transatlantic relations in the sphere of international security in the last years perspective is presented. At the same time an analysis of current NATO - European Union cooperation is presented. It is possible to enumerate various issues of importance shaping the Atlantic idea being in demise. Naturally, the EU strategic partnership with NATO is an important element of effective multilateralism. This partnership remains central to the transatlantic relationship in security and defence policy, but the future is to bring essential changes. The answer to the questions on preferred Poland’s attitude in such relations is sought by the author. In addition efficiency of the transatlantic community and its ability to shape international security via the EU and NATO, not only in Europe, but also elsewhere.
