Analysis of the influence of ways of axial loading the Steel-concrete short column in the form of stcel round tubc filled with concrete on its carrying capacity, based on the finite elcments method (FEM), has been presented in the paper. With the same method, an estima- tion of the degree of the column carrying capacity growth as a result of incrcasing the con¬crete compressive strength caused by Steel tubę limiting the horizontal concrete strains, has bcen also made.
