This article is a brief summary of information on the salt market in Poland. In addition it defines the economic areas in which sodium chloride is used, the sources of salt production and the forms in which it occurs – brine, evaporated salt and rock salt. General information is also given on the evaporated and rock salt producers in Poland. The market shares of individual salt producers, importers and solid salt producers and the countries that are the largest salt producers in the world are also presented. The article generally describes terms the largest rock salt producer in Poland, i.e. Kopalnia Soli “Kłodawa” S.A. The degree of detail of the information provided has been deliberately limited due to its sensitivity and the protection of market data.

Artykuł jest skrótowym zestawieniem informacji dotyczących rynku solnego w Polsce. Poza tym określa dziedziny gospodarki, w których wykorzystywany jest chlorek sodu, źródła pozyskiwania soli i formy jej występowania solanka, sól warzona i sól kamienna. Ponadto w artykule zawarto ogólne informacje dotyczące producentów soli warzonej i kamiennej w Polsce. Przedstawione są również udziały procentowe w rynku poszczególnych producentów soli, importerów i producentów soli w postaci stałej oraz kraje, które są największymi producentami soli na świecie. W artykule ogólnie scharakteryzowano największego producenta soli kamiennej w Polsce, czyli Kopalnię Soli „Kłodawa” S.A. Stopień szczegółowości podawanych informacji został ograniczony ze względu na ich poufność i ochronę danych rynkowych.
