Przedsiębiorstwa i łańcuchy dostaw stale poszukują sposobów tworzenia przewagi konkurencyjnej. Celem artykułu jest przedstawienie najważniejszych wyznaczników koncepcji doskonałości logistyki na poziomie światowym opracowanej przez Capgemini, stanowiącej podstawę budowania trwałej, długofalowej przewagi konkurencyjnej. Badania Capgemini odegrały ważną rolę w rozwoju najlepszych praktyk i programów w zakresie zarządzania współczesnymi łańcuchami dostaw. Poza zaprezentowaniem koncepcji doskonałości logistyki, celem artykułu jest także syntetyczne przedstawienie wyników badań prowadzonych w Katedrze/Zakładzie Logistyki i Marketingu Uniwersytetu Opolskiego, dotyczących identyfikacji logistycznych determinant zmian w zarządzaniu przedsiębiorstwem i łańcuchem dostaw, obejmujących m.in. potencjały sukcesu warunkujące tworzenie trwałej, długofalowej przewagi konkurencyjnej.

Firms and supply chains are still looking for ways leading to business competitive advantage creation. The aim of the article is to present the most important characteristics of the World Class Logistics Excellence concept developed by Capgemini, which is the basis for building a sustained, long-term competitive advantage. Capgemini research played an important role in the best practices and programs development concerning contemporary supply chains management. Apart from logistics excellence concept presentation, the aim of the article is also to present the results of the research conducted by the Chair of Logistics and Marketing at University of Opole, Poland, concerning the identification of the logistics determinants of business and supply chains management, which comprise – among others – business success potentials affecting the sustained, long-term competitive advantage creation.
