Influence of density and thickness on selected properties of MDF

MDF of three levels of density and thickness was produced. MOR and density profile of these boards were examined. It was found that for the boards with a density of 720 kg/m3 and thickness of 18 mm nearly same bending strength was recorded as for the boards with a density of 620 kg/m3 and thickness of 16mm. In case of boards of density 550 kg/m3 much lower MOR values were observed. All indentified effects were statistically significant
