Celem badań była analiza stopnia wykorzystania omawianego akwenu w realizacji zadań turystyki wodnej i ocena ograniczeń tego procesu. W referacie przedstawiono identyfikację form turystyki wodnej oraz ocenę portów, przystani i pomostów zatoki, które mogą stanowić bazę dla działalności żeglarskiej. Wykonane analizy pokazują, że nie wszystkie zrealizowane ostatnio inwestycje polepszyły warunki działalności turystycznej w analizowanym rejonie. W drugiej części opracowania autor zastanawia się nad ograniczeniami rozwoju turystyki wodnej na akwenie Zatoki Gdańskiej i nad przyczynami małej aktywności turystów. W podsumowaniu przedstawiono wnioski skierowane nie tylko do organizatorów turystyki ale również do władz regionu.

Gulf of Gdansk - a water body Polish internal waters, which besides the Vistula Lagoon and Szczecin Lagoon is one of better place for practicing water sports and the realisation of various forms of waterbased tourism. The aim of this study was to analyze the level of exploitation of this basin in the tasks of water tourism and assessment of the limitations of this process. In carrying out the test author used the geographical method , the comparative method and method method of logical analysis. This paper presents the identification of forms of tourism and the assessment of ports, marinas and the bay piers, which may be a basis for tourist activities. Performed analysis shows that not all investments made recently on Gulf of Gdansk improved conditions for tourism activities in the analyzed region. In the second part of the paper author contemplate on the limits of tourism development on the Gulf of Gdansk and on the reasons of low activity for tourists. In summary author shoved conclusions, which are directed not only to the organizers of the tourism but also to the authorities of this region.
