W dniach 12–13 kwietnia br. w Manchesterze odbyło się spotkanie dla dziennikarzy, przedstawicieli firm kolejowych i pracowników naukowych, zorganizowane przez firmę Alstom. Przedstawiono na nim nowy innowacyjny program HealthHub, dzięki któremu Alstom dostarcza nie tylko sprzęt, ale również dane i rozwiązania informacyjne poprawiające podejmowanie gospodarkę taborem kolejowym. W artykule przedstawiono najistotniejsze założenia tego systemu.

Rail services that include maintenance, modernisation, the supply of spare parts and operational support are key for operators as they guarantee the availability, reliability and higher performance of their transport systems. According to the latest UNIFE report, the service segment is worth €33.5 billion in the rail market and is expected to grow to €37 billion2 in the next 3 years. In the articles was described as a good practice the tools used by Alstom for maintenance od Pendolino trains in United Kingdom in workshop in Manchester. These tools which can be used in maintenance of infrastructure gave good results for operators. Well-organised maintenance can satisfies operators not only from the economical point of view giving very high level of reliability; and availability of operated rolling stock. SerWces in delivering spare parts can cut the Life Cycle Cost. Tools for diagnostics for technical system supported by advanced IT allow to avoid unnecessary defects and delays the trains.
