W artykule opisano nawierzchnie kolejowe, w których zastosowano warstwy z mieszanek mineralno-asfaltowych. Rozwiązanie to, znane w wielu krajach, zwiększa trwałość i nośność torowiska kolejowego.
The railway structure using layers of some mineral-asphalt mixtures have been described in the paper. This solution that is well-known in many countries, increases the durability and strength of the railway track. The historical background of asphalt layer application at track structure and the development of this technology in selected countries have been presented. Based on the findings of research carried out in laboratories and at operated railway lines, the advantages of the asphalt layers in the construction of railways have been demonstrated.
