Background: Modern supply chains' increasing complexity and vulnerability have amplified the need for advanced tools to manage risks effectively. Big Data Analytics (BDA) technologies have emerged as transformative solutions to enhance Supply Chain Risk Management (SCRM). These technologies enable real-time data collection, predictive analytics, and seamless collaboration, providing organizations with the agility and resilience to navigate uncertainties. This study presents a scientometric mapping of the BDA-SCRM research field. It offers a structured overview of its evolution, citation impact, regional contributions, scholarly engagement, thematic structures, knowledge clusters, and future research directions. Methods: The study is based on a corpus of English-language, peer-reviewed journal articles retrieved from the Scopus database using a targeted search query. A systematic screening process was applied to ensure that only studies relevant to the research objective were included. Biblioshiny (from the bibliometrix R-package) and VOSviewer were employed to perform the bibliometric analyses. Results: The analysis reveals an annual publication growth rate of 14%, accompanied by high academic influence, with an average of 85.71 citations per article. International collaboration is notable, with 46.67% of articles co-authored by researchers from multiple countries. Asia-particularly China-leads research output, although significant regional imbalances persist. Current contributions are scattered across various authors and journals, suggesting that the field has not yet matured into a highly structured research community. Trend topics include supply chain resilience, sustainability, decision-making, and integrating BDA with other advanced technologies to support SCRM. Thematic mapping classifies the literature into motor, niche, basic, and emerging (or declining) themes. Additionally, keyword co-occurrence analysis identified two main knowledge clusters. Finally, the study proposes recommendations that outline critical directions for advancing the BDA-SCRM research field. Conclusions: This study provides a scientometric mapping of the BDA-SCRM research landscape, shedding light on its current state, knowledge structures, and developing focus areas. The findings underscore the growing importance of BDA in SCRM while revealing critical gaps in regional representation, scholarly engagement, and thematic depth. This study provides a valuable roadmap and a foundational reference for advancing research and guiding future scholarly efforts in the BDA-SCRM domain.
