EN

Glass application has become a new division of architectural theory opening up an abundance of possibilities for visual expression. In the cycle of three papers author presents a general outline of emerging trends in architectural transparency and various forms of glass façade application. In the second part of the cycle author presents two of them the multiplication and interruption of transparency. While the first trend is characterized by the use of multiplied layers of glass (e.g. double leaf facades and box window), the latter represents various ways of obscuring clear transparency by printing, blurring and coating glass, often in skillful artistic way.
