Abstrakty

W ostatnich latach w niektórych państwach europejskich budowane są szpitale na szeroką skalę odpowiadające wymaganiom współczesnego świata. Zjawisko to widoczne jest zwłaszcza w Wielkiej Brytanii i Danii. Z kolei w innych państwach planowana jest budowa takich szpitali w najbliższej dekadzie. Najczęściej obiekty te mają awangardową formę w dużej skali, są superjednostkami, które zapewniają opiekę medyczną dużemu regionowi. Mają one wiele nowoczesnych i ekologicznych rozwiązań architektonicznych. Są także przykładami cyfryzacji opieki medycznej oraz kształtowania środowiska skupionego na komforcie pacjentów i użytkowników. Można także spotkać się z nazwą tych obiektów jako superszpitali. Celem artykułu jest przedstawienie charakterystyki tego typu obiektów na tle historycznych i współczesnych uwarunkowań związanych z architekturą obiektów służby zdrowia. Materiałem badawczym jest sześć superszpitali (z Estonii, Węgier, Danii oraz Wielkiej Brytanii). W wyniku badań przedstawiono m.in. najważniejsze cechy architektoniczne charakterystyczne dla superszpitali w kontekście współczesnych tendencji w projektowaniu obiektów służby zdrowia w Europie.

In recent years, the construction of new large-scale hospitals that meet the demands of the modern world has been taking place in some European countries. This phenomenon is particularly evident in the United Kingdom and Denmark. In other countries, in turn, there are plans to build such hospitals in the next decade. Most often, these facilities have an avant-garde form on a large scale representing super units that provide medical care to a large region. They feature a range of modern and environmentally friendly architectural solutions. They are also examples of the digitalisation of medical care and the shaping of an environment focused on the comfort of patients and users. One can also encounter the name of these facilities as "super hospitals". The aim of this article is to present the characteristics of this type of facility against the background of historical and contemporary conditions related to the architecture of healthcare facilities. The research material consists of six super hospitals (from Estonia, Hungary, Denmark and the UK). The research presents, among other things, the most important architectural characteristics of super hospitals in the context of contemporary tendencies in the design of healthcare facilities in Europe.
