Medical educators devote significant time and effort into creating all types of high quality e-learning resources including virtual patient (VP) cases. Peer-review and sharing of such resources encourages the creation of high quality educational scholarship and promotes adoption of innovative materials in the health education community. The Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC) developed MedEdPORTAL (www.mededportal.org) to serve as a prestigious publishing venue and dissemination portal through which educators and learners from around the globe can share educational works. MedEdPORTAL is an international free service available to the general public that peer-reviews, publishes, hosts, and disseminates all types of e-learning resources relevant to health education. Participants will learn about the submission to publication process as well as the sophisticated evaluation tools available to published authors to compile user feedback and track satisfaction, activity, user preference for particular resources, and information about how users are applying the resources in practice.
