Artykuł ukazuje możliwość wykorzystania współczesnych i archiwalnych stereoskopowych zdjęć lotniczych w modelowaniu 3D zasięgu i pola widoku. Do identyfikacji elementów struktury krajobrazu modyfikujących zasięg i pole widoku zastosowano numeryczny model pokrycia terenu (DSM). Stworzono go na podstawie zdjęć lotniczych, wykorzystując stację fotogrametryczną DEPHOS. Uzyskane wyniki badań potwierdzają konieczność uwzględniania pokrycia terenu w analizie zasięgu i pola widoku, szczególnie zadrzewień i zabudowy.

This article discusses the possibility of using contemporary and archival stereoscopic aerial photographs in 3D viewshed modelling. The digital surface model (DSM) was used to identify the elements of the landscape structure modifying the viewshed. The model was created on the basis of aerial photographs, using the photogrammetric station DEPHOS. The viewshed modelling was based on two models of land cover, depending on the distance from the observer positioned on the road. In order to track visibility at a short distance from the observer, a high-resolution DSM was used, and further away from the observer – a DSM with lower accuracy, which significantly improved data processing and reduced the time of analysis. The obtained test results confirm the necessity of taking into account the surface of the area in viewshed analysis, especially tree stands and buildings. The described procedure may be helpful in quantifying the degree of landscape cover, and thus may be one of the elements of objectively assessing of the visual attractiveness of the landscape. It enables images of the area to be realistically perceived and assessed area for the needs of landscape valorisation.
