Abstrakty
In the paper a classical model of failures is considered in that successive failure-free times are supposed to have exponential distributions and are followed by exponentially distributed times of repairs. Three methods of reliability characteristics estimation are compared: Maximum Likelihood method, empirical moments method and method based on renewal theory approach. Mean Time To Failure and Mean Time of Repair based on historical data about failure-free times and repair times are estimated. In the paper a numerical example is given.
