Abstrakty

In the first part of the paper the different aspects of using of passive and reactive armours to protect non-armoured, light and heavy armoured objects are discussed. The second, experimental part presents the shooting results of ceramic protective layers called CAWA-1, CAWA-1NA by 7, 62 mm, 12,7mm and 14,5 mm projectiles AP on soft and stiff bases. This part also shows the results of computer simulation of penetration of the protective layers with the AP projectiles. The results of observation of projectile penetration into protective layers with X-ray measuring and termal scanning equipment are presented. The paper also gives the examples of investigation of multilayer composite armours containing ceramics CAWA-2 to protect against the 125 mm APFSDS projectile penetration. An the end of the work the data of composite-reactive armours CERAWA-1 are described.
