The authors advise what to do in order to prepare, in a situation of increasing terrorist threat, for the possibility of attack on the military objects crucial for state defense. The 6th Aviation Base, which logistically supports the functioning of the Polish Air Force Academy (Wyższa Szkoła Oficerska Sił Powietrznych), is specifically exposed to these risks. Thus, it should be within its obligations to perform multiple tasks soothing the effects of terrorist attacks. Moreover, it is its duty to provide assistance to civil services in the situation of attacks within the area of its responsibility. Fulfilling these duties requires a development of crisis response plan, the integral part of which would be an identification of possible threats. Proper prognoses regarding the effects of terrorist attacks and their range shall add to assuring the efficiency of rescue operations, and at the same time to diminishing possible personal and material losses.
