Short production series, short lead time of orders and increasing costs of materials force on clothing industries more effective managements of both working hours and textile materials. Adding to this not always high qualifications of the crew, firms dealing with systems CAD/CAM are showing in their offer computer programs for assisting the process of making patterns. In this article it is shown the comparative analysis of construction of patterns realized in the automatic way and systems realized in the interactive way. They were carrying out research on the latest version of the algorithm available on the market after 2009 through one of the leading firm specializing in aided of drawing up processes of preparing the production in the clothing industry.
